Sparknotes: In Stephen King's "Carrie," Carrie White gets her period and burns down prom with her telekinesis. It's a huge hit. In "The Rage: Carrie 2," 1999's sequel, Carrie's half-sister Rachel also has telekinesis (it's apparently genetic), and also freaks out and mind-murders her high-school tormenters, all the while ringing some familiar psychosexual alarm bells. Shockingly, it's not a huge hit. But this unauthorized parody musical by Preston Allen is another story.
