Each season, Underscore produces two mainstage new musicals, which are paid, ticketed, fully-produced performances for the press and public, running for an extended preview process and a regular run of ~6 weeks.

Our mainstage productions are the final step in our "pipeline" of developing new shows. Before being selected for our mainstage season, shows need to have gone through our reading and workshop process, which means scripts and scores have been tested and refined in front of artists and audiences.
